The aim of the study was to investigate how teachers conduct their teaching of the subject matter religion and science within Swedish religious studies in upper secondary school. The study was a qualitative interview study. Seven teachers were interviewed to examine how they work with the subject matter and what kind of materials they use to reach the aim, as it is written in the curriculum. How teachers handle their own neutrality within the subject matter was also of interest. The curriculum states that how religion and science relate to each other, and more specifically, different ways they can relate to each other, is to be included.
